Summer Solstice!

It is June 21st....Happy Summer!  :)   
I have a lot to catch you up on!!

Lets see here.... I always get inspiration from my pictures, so we'll just start there....

Oh yes.....!
We have a new mailbox.....(I forgot to take a before picture, dumb dumb)
However, it was black and ragged.... I mean, it was lookin pretty sad.  Leaned up against our neighbors mailbox and the lid hardly ever closed which meant when it rained our mail was soaked.  Well, I had enough of the nonsense----it was time for a mailbox make over!  :)

Yes, that is Jerad painting our mailbox purple.......and let me be the one to tell you that he walked out of the garage with that can of spray paint..... I, of course was elated that he wanted that color!  I was going to suggest it lightly, but there was no need....he already knew thats the color I would want it  :)   Bless his heart.   Only a manly- man can get their mail out of a purple mail box!   (or so we joke about)  

So.....we have a purple mail box with a yellow flag.....and brand new stickers.   Life is good.

Speaking of LIFE IS GOOD..... LIFE IS GOOD!   I cant tell you how much I appreciate living a hop, skip and a jump away from the lake.  Esp. right now.....during SUMMER!   Jerad and I go out on the lake as much as we can after work to enjoy some nice slalom skiing water.....possibly a nice sunset or two. 
My sister came down last Thursday and went out on the lake with us and skii'd.  We were sooooo excited for her.  She hadn't skii'd in a couple of years, and got up on her first pull!  :)

SO nice to have some water time at 4:30 on a Thursday.....

Thank you God for giving me the opportunity to boat with my family and friends on the weeknights...... such a good stress relief to sit out on the lake and relax under your beautiful sunset sky.....reflecting on everything I continue to remember to be thankful for. Especially that sweet boy who knows how to drive the boat so I don't have to hit the waves...... I am very thankful for him!  :)  Amen.
